Little bit of Halloween in November

Holy Moly...
Am I really going to do 2 blog posts in ONE week?
What has gotten into me?

Without further ado...

Halloween --- Military Style!

My step dad retired from the National Guard on Halloween.
(A whole post about him at a later time.
He is way too big time to be squished in a post with his Grandsons and Halloween).

Ryker and Travis dressed for the occasion.

They also convinced their Uncle Jared to dress like them too!

I think their Papa enjoyed the company of the recruits.

And since Ryker looked so darn cute in those BDU's we thought what a great Halloween costume. Although we didn't get home in time to do much trick or treating, we managed to at least go up and down our street.
Thank you neighbors for humoring our son and giving us all your left over candy!!
He loved it and so did we!!

Have a great weekend ya'll!

The Big Reveal OR....

Kidding. Kidding.

Hey.... at least it hasn't been 14 days since my last post! :)

But, it has been approximately 3 months from when I first told all of you I had SOME EXCITING NEWS , I guess it could be time to actually TELL the news.

Plus, I have told you about my demanding sister before  ... She won't leave me alone about it! (oh and Lenise don't think I haven't seen your comments) :)

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with baby #3! ;)
Hopefully in about a month or so we can find out if Ryker will have a little sister or little brother.

You all were on the right track back when I first said I had exciting news, and when I said I was SO TIRED, and what about that CRAZY BLOGGER DREAM, all makes sense now.

Sorry it took me so long to share... When I first mentioned the news back in August, I thought I was 10 weeks along, come to find out I was only 6! So, to be safe, I wanted to wait until the 2nd trimester. Then I had to have surgery to get my cerclage put in. (Dang incompetent cervix). THEN I realized I was starting to show a little and decided I wanted to get an announcement picture taken. (Thanks Amy! You are the best!)

So that is what has taken so long....

Thank you all for be SO patient! ;)

I couldn't decide which collage I liked better. So here is the other one! :)

ROAR --- Monster

Wow Ryker, You are so Scary!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
My weekend is going to be filled with seeing people I dont get to see very often.

Well, that's life lately. I apologize again for being MIA for 14+ days. That's just ridic!

Could be inappropriate (you have been warned)

This post could be inappropriate and disgusting to some.
You have been warned.

Grandma and Grandpa it's about going #2 and has nothing to do with Ryker.
So if you want to stop reading now, I totally understand.
But the stories are quite funny.

On Monday, I happen to run across THIS STORY (incase you are new here, click on that purple THIS STORY to read what I'm talking about). I honestly do not remember the last time I have laughed so hard. I think mostly because this has happened to me on more than one occasion, Lucas, ex-roomies, sisters, parents will confirm that. Also, I think this story might appeal more to the women only because I'm sure you have all been there before. Plus, I had a male friend read it at work and read it to Lucas when I got home. They didn't think it was near as funny as I or my girlfriends did.
Enjoy!

Speaking about the story above.
It reminds me.
Along time ago, Oh, 6 years ago I guess....

I was at Luke's parents for maybe the 5th time. Had to have been some sort of holiday or special get together because everyone (brother in-laws, their significant others, mom, dad, nieces, you get the point) was there. It was the end of the day and everyone was sitting around the living room falling half asleep and loving the conversation.  Then BAM it hit me. I have to go #2 now. Like NOW!!! There are 2 bathrooms at my in-laws, one for the public (which is maybe a foot away from the living room), and one in their bedroom. This being the 5th time I had been there I didn't really feel comfortable using their "private" bathroom.

So I very calmly got up and made my way to the restroom. I was in there longer than a #1 would take and I knew that everyone in the living room knew what I was doing. So when I finally finish, I search the entire bathroom for some sort of smell good spray, (remember bathroom is like a foot away from the living room) BUT find nothing, so I close the door behind me hoping no one uses it for awhile and very awkwardly return back to my seat.

Not 2 seconds after I sit down. Luke says "Wow, that took you long enough" - Very embarrassed reply back "haha, yep" (face had to have been as red as tomato)- Then what does my wonderful husband (boyfriend at the time) do? He decides that he need to use the bathroom. He walks in and very loudly says as he quickly comes back out "OH, my goodness!!!"  Then grabs a lit candle off the top of the TV stand holds it up to his nose and returns back to the bathroom.
Everyone laughed, I laughed at them laughing at me, but I was dying on the inside with embarrassment.

Luckily Luke decided to stick it out with me, despite my gut problems, and I decided it's okay to embarrass your significant other every once in awhile. I am still trying to plot my revenge 6 years later!
Honey, someday you will be embarrassed.
Very very embarrassed! :P

Hope this wasn't TOO inappropriate.
AND
Hope you got a laugh or two in today.

Zoo Weekend

Well, long time no bloggy...

My sister is getting pretty annoyed with me. Pretty sure she said to me yesterday. "If you're not going to write on your blog anymore then I'm going to quit checking it. Let me know when you post something." WOWZERS.... someone needs to take a chill pill I think... I mean does she not realize I am a busy busy person. I have things to do. A lot of things. Things that take time. Things that require my attention.

Don't worry. I won't bore you all with all the THINGS that I have to do on a daily basis. I mean seriously. It's totally boring but someones gotta do it.

With that said.

I will tell you how our weekend went.

Started off playing with my camera and a little trick I found on pintrest. Might not be the coolest thing ever invented but it was pretty neat.

Just a shape cut out of construction paper.

Next up was the zoo.

I, for one, LOVE the zoo. And I just KNEW Ryker would love it too. He talks about animals ALL THE TIME. So like any mother I couldn't WAIT to see the excitement in his eyes watching and looking at these animals.

BUT this trip to the zoo was pretty much a BUST.... a BUST! -- It was below 50 degrees and apparently they don't let all the animals out if it's below 50.

Elephants were put up.
Monkeys were put up.
Giraffes were put up.
Every primate was put up.
:(

But this IS what we got to see  Polar Bear sleeping, Lions sleeping, Tigers sleeping, African Dogs sleeping, Crocodiles sleeping, and Kangaroos hopping.
Oh and hungry Deer.

But even though the zoo was a BUST. It was nice hanging out with my family enjoying each others company. Would do it again in a heart beat.

Here's a few pictures of our adventure.

Polar Bear

"Scratching" his nose. Side story. Ryker and I were looking through these pictures when we got home from the zoo. I said "Ah Ryker, Nice Bear" he said "NO, Scratching his nose" :) cutest thing ever

Checkin out the Cheetahs -- well the top of their heads. They were sleeping.

The Lions.Very entertaining. Obviously.

"Wow, Look at the Lions. They are sleeping! EXCITING!"

So precious. Love you both!

DO. NOT. MESS. WITH. ME.

Pretty sure this was Ryker's favorite part of the day. He had so much fun feeding the deer.

Note: The sign on the right hand side of this picture. This family doesn't follow directions very well. :)

Thanks for listening to my rant about the zoo being a bust.

Can't wait to go again!
