For the love of Duke

I told you awhile back how much Ryker LOVES Dukey and how they Say Goodbye  in the morning.

Today:
I Thought I would show you how much Dukey loves Ryker...
Because a dog he must love him very much for him to let this happen!

Tried to get rid of the glowing eyeballs... Couldn't do it without making it look more creepy than it already does.

Believe me, it only lasted long enough for me to capture this... Duke had had enough.

But it is still precious to me that they love eachother so!

Honeymoon Memories

A little over a month ago I told you all about Lover and I's (That sentence right there is probably so wrong in so many ways... but I so badly wanted to use Lover in it! So sue me!)
Anyway

I told you about our 4 year anniversary and with an anniversary ususally means there was a wedding which also usually means there was a honeymoon. I also told you that someday I would take you on our Honeymoon adventure.

Well guess what?!?!?!?!
Today is NOT the day! kidding kidding

We were blessed enough to go on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.
Beautiful places.

We arrived on the boat SUPER early cause we were SO excited.
When you arrive you HAVE to have a fruity beverage to kick off the vaca/honeymoon.

We got to do some pretty amazing things.
Canoe to our snorkeling spot. {Story about the canoeing at a later time, I'm actually surprised we are still married after that event, it was that bad, but look 4 years later and still going strong, we laugh at it sometimes now}

We haven't really started paddling yet.... That's why we both are smiling! :P

We got to snorkel, like I said above but thought I would mention it again!

We para-sailed

We held baby lions

We rode horses in the mountains of Ensenada

We dressed up nice to go to dinner {the food was AMAZING and taking pictures of food 4 years ago, wasn't as cool as it is these days. Can you imagine the photos of food I would have to show you!?!}

We sat on buildings in the piano bar, as well and spent most of our time there, with the new friends we met, waiting on karaoke to start.

Because karaoke means air guitar!
Well done boys well done.

We had a great time on our honeymoon and didn't want to come back to reality. I think we a great time because of the drinks we found aboard ship of the pretty cool people we found to hang out with while stuck out in the middle of the ocean with only the boat to keep us entertained. Although I think lover babe and I are pretty crazy, it doesn't take much to keep us entertained. We were probably the entertainment for these folks.
{I mean seriously, cowboy hats and Corona's, thats entertainment enough}

If you EVER have the chance to go on a cruise I HIGHLY recommend it! It was one of THE best vacations I have been on!

Hope your honeymoon was or will be as exciting as ours was!

The Clinger

Don't judge.
Okay so I know you're going to judge. It's just what people do.

For the most part EVERY night little man seems to find his way into our bed.
(Sometimes All the time with the help from his momma)

Anyway

I am trying to be naive and think that this is the best for all of us, him, I, and daddy (that can sleep through a train going through our house, but that's besides the point). I want to sleep and I know he wants to sleep too. I KNOW that if I could just take a few weeks and make him stay in his bed that after those few weeks we both all would be much happier, both, all of us sleeping through the night.
BUT
Right now I just want to sleep... I LOVE SLEEP! ;)

Again Anyway

The little man has decided that he needs to cling to everything in the bed. Me and my pillow and my blankets and me! This should have put me other the edge by now and made me decide that enough is enough and it's time for me to start that "few" weeks horror process...
 BUT I LOVE SLEEP
even if it is 15 min here and there!

This is little man this morning.
Picture is way blurry. I promise your eye sight is fine.

 Yes. Those are pillows!

You might not know this.
But our heads actually rest on those pillows, contrary to popular belief.
Feet in daddy's face. Head on top of momma's!

But look at him... he is so darn cute.
How could you not want to cuddle let him cling to you in the middle of the night?

Silly Cousins

Whew!
What a weekend!
Not really, It was actually a pretty relaxing one.

Went to the hubby's parents house, which is always a good time.
Ryker got to hang out with all of his cousins and boy do they play and run and yell and go and do and NEVER STOP!!!
But they are so awesome and we love them so much!

Cousin Chloe

Cousin Haley

Cousin Alyssa

Cousin Ryker
I'm pretty sure they could all pass for siblings!

Saturday was a little muggy/rainy so we went and played in the activity center at church.
Everyone got to join in on the fun.

Uncle Nate

Uncle Lukey

Even Grandma joined in on the fun!
(She doesn't read this very often, So she won't know for awhile that I put her picture on here! It will be a least a couple of months before she yells at me! HI JANE! ;) )

Ended the weekend with another Chiefs loss...
BUT
got to spend time with good friends!

Hope you all had a relaxing and fun weekend like we did.
Oh and Ryker was SO worn out from the weekend that he slept through the night and this momma got a full 8 hours of sleep.
I'm feelin' all sorts of good today! :)

slacker slacker slacker

Someone has been a slacker lately.

Remember I told you on Tuesday that I was a procrastinator...
I wasn't lying, was I?

Anyway, we  haven't been home very much this week.
Its been, work work work, play play play and finally SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!

Man, I love sleep.
LOVE IT!

Speaking of sleep.... That's where I'm headed now! :)

Great post eh?
Bet you're so glad you wasted a minute of your life on this, aren't you?!?
Yeah, I would be glad too!

But I should have a good one on Monday. You see, we are at Luke's parents this weekend and it gets crazy around here with Ryker's cousins. They are crack ups and we love them.

To all you slackers and procrastinators out there....

HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEKEND!

Friend of the Week

Who knew that becoming a parent would entail doing homework... HOMEWORK!
I wasn't good in school. Well I guess I should say I didn't like to apply myself. Which also means I'm a procrastinator and will wait until the VERY LAST min to do everything.

Hence -- I hated school!!!

So once I graduated I was relieved that I wouldn't have to do anymore HOMEWORK!

Until last week....
Last week we received a piece of paper from Ryker's school. A piece of paper that stated he had been chosen as "Friend of the Week".
Good for him! What a fun week he will have.
BUT
At the bottom of this paper it said "Parents please create a poster about your child and the things he/she likes to do, please bring it next Monday"

EXCUSE ME?
 Create a poster?
Pretty sure that is HOMEWORK for a 2 1/2 year old.

What have I gotten myself into, having babies?? :)

So like I said.
Ryker is "Friend of the Week" this week.
And I'm a procrastinator.

Guess who didn't have a poster done on Monday!
Yeah this parent.
I definitely won Parent of the year this week.

I woke up at 4am Monday morning sat straight up in bed and said "OH MY GOODNESS... THE POSTER!!!" There was nothing to be done at that point. I wanted to make a nice poster at least, not just throw stuff together.

I had to walk into Ryker's classroom Monday morning tail between my legs and confess that I didn't make the poster this weekend.I have lied before when I have "FORGOTTEN" Ryker's homework at home. (ie. didn't do it, imagine that, did turn it in the next day though)
But this time I wasn't lying.
I really just didn't do it.
I didn't just FORGET it at home.
How embarrassing.

Anyway, I spent last night creating a poster for Ryker's classroom, so he could be the best "Friend of the Week" ever.

Here's how it turned out.

I also want to give a big shout out to all the men and women that have and continue to serve our country.
And let all the families of ones lost 11 years ago know that they are not forgotten.

I will NOT be rooting for you!
